Terms
Last updated September 30, 2026
These terms cover your use of Pasta, the Mac app and the service behind it, made by Automatique, Inc. ("we"). By using Pasta you agree to them. Questions: info@automatique.la.
Your account
You need an account to use Pasta. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13.
Free trial and subscription
- New accounts get 7 days free, with no card needed.
- After that, Pasta needs a subscription: $5 a month or $48 a year, plus any tax shown at checkout. You can subscribe at any time, including during the trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from the app (Settings → Plan → Manage Subscription); you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our reseller and merchant of record, under Polar's buyer terms.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
- Refunds are covered in our refund policy.
Your content
What you copy stays yours. You give us permission to store, encrypt, sync and process it only to run Pasta for you (for example, labeling, search and link previews), as described in our privacy policy.
Fair use
Don't misuse Pasta: no attempts to break or overload the service, no automated mass copying to run up its AI or storage, no reselling access, and nothing illegal. To keep the service working for everyone, we apply reasonable daily limits and may suspend accounts that abuse it.
The service
We work hard to keep Pasta reliable and your data safe, but Pasta is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Labels and search results come from AI and can be wrong. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
Ending
You can stop using Pasta and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut Pasta down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your history.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
